I had this question submitted for my opinion on the topic of the benefits of an attached garage vs a detached garage.

This is how I replied:

It has a lot to do with personal preference. An attached garage is usually prefered for better security when getting out of your car and going to your house. Staying out of the weather is another pro to having an attached garage. However sometimes having an attached garage isn’t an option due to the size of the lot or the style of the home. Just a couple of things to think of when building one onto your house or when you are looking for a new home to buy.

I hope this helps you decide if you prefer attached vs a detached garage when you are looking for your next home.

The bond program is open again to buyers who are purchasing in Manatee County.  There are some qualifications to the program but it is worth a shot if you are planning on buying.  Several of my buyers have benefited from this program in the past so I am glad to see it is back.  Once the money runs out, it will close again so signing up now is in your best interest.
